It was established, in 1920, by Georgios Melissinos, whose son Stavros (The Poet) took over in 1954 and he was the first one to relaunch the ancient Greek sandal trend in modern times. Stavros passed the business onto his own son Pantelis Melissinos (Poet and Artist), in 2004.
